In fact `out for blood' isn't really a strong enough explanation for why the Kraken doesn't just obey Aquaman's commands (in the cartoons and the comcis they always offer some kind of `insane', `controlled by machienery' reason for a seas-creature ignoring Aquaman's telepathy). But even accepting that, Aquanman would absolutely stomp the Kraken. Dude's taken puches from Superboy and Wonder Woman and shook em off, that's heaps harder than a sea-monster that has to strain to crush a ship hits. And he's swum UP niagra falls. That's fast. Sorry Kraken, you're a bad-ass sea-monster and all its true, but hail to the king baby.

Re: Aquaman vs. The Kraken

I held back with Aquaman asking for help. He commands the army of Atlantis also, a force generally accepted as a force near the size of the US military only with more advanced weapons. I figured that wouldn't be fair, and neither would Davy Jones' help.

Asking the sea life for help is his main power, so I figured that was on the table. Although you may be right with needing a few more giant squids to team up against the Kraken.

I just like that word...Kraken!

Re: Aquaman vs. The Kraken

See I think that every sea creature would know to fear The Kraken and thus will stay away from it. Also if it can bring whole boats up to splinter then I think it can take a giant squid. It's kind of a really giant squid anyway. And if Aquaman gets to have his finned friends help (even if that is his only talent) then I would think that Davie Jones and his crew could help too. So they could keep the sea creatures at bay. I'm pulling for The Kraken...Mainly because I find Aquaman a very boring and unneeded "super hero".
